ATD Convention & Expo to move to Orlando, Fl

Responding to an overwhelming number of positive comments from members in a post-convention survey, the leadership of the American Truck Dealers (ATD) has decided once again to hold its 2013 Convention and Expo in conjunction with the National Automobile Dealers Association’s (NADA) annual event in Orlando, Fla., next February.

The two events will run simultaneously at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from Feb. 8-11, 2013. The Peabody Hotel will serve as the meeting headquarters for both conventions. The NADA Convention and Expo is considered “the industry event of year.”

Tool Tip: Instagram and your Brand

Now that Instagram, a photo enhancement app just purchased by Facebook for $1 billion dollars,  is now on Android and iOS devices, it may be time for your company to consider joining the bandwagon and setting up a brand profile.

Instagram is an app that allows users to snap a picture, then run it through editing and enhancement options allowing the photo to look more professional. But it’s not just another photo fixer. Instagram allows you to set up a profile,  “follow” users and allows you to “like” and comment on their photos.

Benefit for your company or dealership?

Another tool to socially engage with your customers. With over 31 million users, Instagram allows users to express their interests through photos. You can also sync your Instagram with Facebook and Twitter to find  followers you already have that you can move over to Instagram.

Tip: Own a dealership?  Upload a photo of a new car or truck in your inventory and post on your Instagram. Make sure to caption the photo and send it to your Facebook or Twitter page to reach even more users. Go through the search on Instagram and find users already tagging their photos of their cars. Engage with them through the comment section.
